No, you don’t pay for any legal fees or expenses until after your real estate closing is complete.

Yes. In Ontario, real estate closings cannot conclude without hiring a real estate lawyer. This applies to all purchases, sales and refinances.
Everybody who holds the title of the property should sign the documents. This can be done electronically at our office.
We usually provide same-day phone calls with a real estate lawyer on weekdays. Our lawyers also make themselves available for a few hours on some weekends as well. Sometimes, your appointment can be as fast as within 30 minutes of booking!
However, in order to deliver this kind of speed, your first phone call might be with one of our associates. Rest assured that all closings are performed only by Al and Ali, you will be able to speak to them right after getting started.
We’ve set our fees very competitively, but you are certainly welcome to shop around but remember most law firms charge disbursements on top of their quotes, we don’t! Keep in mind that according to LawPro’s 2020 Annual Report, real estate lawyers had the highest percentage of malpractice complaints in Ontario.
